I am working on a Text Twist game. I have been trying for a week every night to get the last word of this game. I have all of the other words in the list. It's driving me crazy! I have to know!!
Hey there Kelly - don't be too hard on yourself on this one. There are two answers, and they are both difficult words...
DEMESNE n. a manor house and its untenanted land, and
SEEDMEN pl. SEEDMAN, a dealer in seeds.
Also, if you would like to know a way to put yourself out of your misery sooner next time, visit my Scrabble Helper page (under Sneaky Tools in the left hand navigation bar) where you can download a free tool called Zyzzyva, which will solve all your future Text Twist problems ;-)
Thanks for asking, Kelly
P.S. If you want to get better at anagramming for Text Twist, you might also like to take a look at my Solving Anagrams page. On that page I describe three great anagramming techniques used by Scrabble masters. Depends how serious you are though - it's for pretty hard-core word gamers.
P.P.S. If you're wondering what Text Twist is, it's basically a very popular solo computer-game that puts your anagramming and word-building skills to the test. You can get Text Twist 2 here. (The '2' just means this one is the latest and greatest version.)
