VanRand Travel Scrabble™ Cruises

My wife, Barbara Van Alen, and I have organized group Scrabble™ cruises since 2002. During our days at sea, we direct a sanctioned tournament for players of all ability levels. In 2004, Barbara and I were selected as Directors of the Year by the National Scrabble Association.

Since our inaugural cruise to Alaska in 2002, we have completed 22 cruises all over the globe, and have had over 500 guests travel with us. Many of the passengers who travel with us do not play Word Games, but they enjoy cruising with their family and friends.

In 2011, we have group cruises set up for SE Asia from Hong Kong to Singapore; Quito, Ecuador and the Galapagos Islands; a Transatlantic voyage from Ft. Lauderdale to Amsterdam; an Alaska Inside Passage roundtrip from Seattle, WA; and a roundtrip Hawaiian Islands from San Diego, CA.
