Using a blank
by Molly
(washington St.)
When using a blank, can you make it into a Q, if the Q is already in use?
Hi there Molly. Yes, you sure can.
The blank tile can be assigned any letter you like, regardless of what letters already exist on the board.
In fact, that's why words like EQUIVOQUE (an equivocal word or expression) are in the official Scrabble dictionary, even though they contain two Qs!
Hope that answers your question.
