\ā-twē\
Noun

Case for holding sewing articles and/or tools

French, from Old French estui, prison, from estuier, to guard, from Vulgar Latin estudiāre, from Latin stadium, study.

This is no winning word for me, but it's one of my all time favorites, the interesting pronunciation, the odd etymology, it's a fun word overall.
