Like a few of the chuckle-worthy vids on this page, the next one is a segment from Cheap Seats. If you're not familiar with the show, Cheap Seats was a comedy program on ESPN hosted by two brothers who played tapes of old ... shall we say 'lesser watched' ... sports broadcasts and made fun of them. Serious fun. Needless to say, Spelling Bees and Scrabble tournaments were perfect fodder...
