You may want to improve your vocabulary for any number of reasons today but wanting to and actually doing it are two very different things. It is actually quite humbling to undertake step by step tutorials, like those that the best software vocabulary tools have to offer, and this can be off putting in itself.
However, there is a way to motivate yourself and prevent any embarrassment you may feel. It is simple and takes a few moments. All you have to do is write down your goals. Why do you want to improve your vocabulary? Be as specific as you can. Whether you want a promotion, are changing careers or simply want to better yourself, write it down and display it proudly on the wall to remind you of why you are doing so.
If you do not want to tack a list of your goals to the wall then there are other means of motivating yourself to use a vocabulary building tool. For example, you can slot the software into your daily routine. It only takes 10 minutes per day to improve your vocabulary and if it is routine then you will not think about it.
Alternatively, why not calculate how much more you could earn every year by using the tool? This is certain to get anyone motivated. Finally, why not think of the first impression that you give? Picture someone you have met and judged poorly immediately. Imagine how that sort of judgment could hold you back and this should act as motivation enough.
