Merl Reagle - All 'Round Nice Guy!

I have been an online friend of Merl's since the early days of the Cruciverb-l discussion list. He has been an important contributor, always ready to provide valuable advice to new constructors.

We finally got to meet when I went down for the American Crossword Puzzle Tournament (I think it was 2005). He is certainly a luminary at these tournaments, contributing puzzles and providing the color commentary during the finals. Merl took the time to have breakfast with me, one-on-one, and that was a real treat.

He has always been willing to provide advice to me when I actually get around to making a puzzle. He isn't just a funny, talented puzzlemaker, he's an all 'round nice guy and I feel honored to have met him. Yeah, Merl!
