Why I Think It's A Cool Word — It's the only word starting with MB- in the Official Scrabble Players Dictionary (4th Edition). Also, it has a combination of -QA- inside the word which is quite rare.

Just a small correction: MBIRA is another MB- word allowed in the Official Scrabble Players Dictionary. It also relates to African music - specifically, it is an African musical instrument.
