Do I lose a turn?

I spelled a word that was a word (LATELY), but my 'L' overlapped a previous word spelling a wrong word LE*. Do I lose my turn for spelling this incorrect word as well?

Hi Evan - I'm afraid every newly formed word from your play can be challenged, and if any of these words is found to be incorrect you lose your turn.
