Bull's-eye

It's like Scrabble meets Sorry.

In most word games you are always looking for your highest scoring word. In Bull's-eye you're looking for a particular word whose point total will advance you to one of the targets laid out on the scoreboard.

Imagine needing a 7-point word (each letter has a point value) from your seven cards and having to do the spelling and math at the same time. It's not as hard as it sounds - it just adds a refreshing new dimension.

If you land on a target, you pick a consequence card and take your bonus or, and this is where it gets really interesting, your penalty.

The red targets are always a bonus, the black targets are a chance. Some bonus cards are a penalty to all players but you. Some will put you right back in the game if you're running behind though which is nice because you're never out of a game.

A great thing about the game is that it's quick because everyone plays simultaneously so there is no waiting as in most other word games.

You can also play this game with your kids and not be bored to death because the EASY and CHALLENGE versions can be played simultaneously when kids are at the table. It levels the playing field completely and kids don't feel like they are getting a handicap.

If you like word games, try this one. You won't be disappointed. To find it just Google "Bull's-eye word game" or "DNA Family Games".

Bull's-eye hits the spot!

I have played this game at the Vancouver Sausage Fest 2012 and bought a copy because it was a lot of fun. It's a great family and party game for everyone. My friends and I had a blast even when one of my friend was scared to play in the beginning. But she ended up enjoying it and asked her Mom to buy it too. You don't have to be the word Maven to compete. It's a race to a 100 but your highest scoring points is not necessarily your best choice. Thanks to the makers of this cool game.
